Chris Brown was born on May 5, 1989 in Tappahannock, Virginia, as Christopher Maurice Brown. He is an American hip-hop, R&B and pop musician, songwriter, dancer, actor and singer. He was discovered by a local music producer at the age of 13. At the age of 15, the singer got his first recording contract with "Jive Records" and in 2005 he released his debut album. The single decoupling "Run It!" made it directly to number one on the US charts. Also, the first studio album was a success and nominated in 2007 for the Grammy Award in the category "Best Contemporary R&B Album.”
In 2005, the musician released his second single "Yo", which, however, lagged behind his success internationally. Over the next few years, Chris Brown released other mediocre albums and starting his first major tour in 2006, the Up Close and Personal Tour. He was awarded the Billboard Music Awards as "Artist of the Year", among others. In 2007, Christ Brown rejoined his first success with his single "Kiss Kiss". In 2011, the singer was nominated for the eighth time for the Grammy Award, but went out again empty. However, his album “Fame” received the award as “Best R&B Album” in 2011.
From the end of 2007 to February 2009 Chris Brown was involved with the singer Rihanna. The relationship ended with a violent altercation following a February 2009 visit to a pre-Grammy party. It was not long before it was revealed that Chris Brown had been arrested on the night because he was suspected to have made a criminal threat to his girlfriend. On 5 March, Brown was charged with assault and threats. Images that showed Rihanna with lacerations and bruises on her face and emerged immediately after the incident went around the world.
At the end of May, it was announced that Rihanna had been summoned by the court to testify on 22 June. During the trial, Brown pleaded guilty to a deal with the judge in the charge and escaped imprisonment. He was sentenced to five years’ probation and had to attend an anti-aggression program and serve 190 social services. For the time being he was not allowed to contact his ex-girlfriend and approach her up to a maximum of 45 meters (nine meters at public events). Rihanna was subsequently notified of the verdict in the courtroom. She later told her lawyer that she considered the punishment fair and fair.
After the incident, Rihanna withdrew from the public for some time and gave very few interviews. It was not until the release of her fourth studio album Rated R that she commented on the incident. In a Tell-All interview aired on American television on November 5, she confirmed the rumour that she was having a fight when she read a text message from his ex-girlfriend to him. Brown had lied to her in this regard and she had caught him. As a result, he was freaked out and became violent.
At the end of 2009, Brown gave The Times an interview in which he suggested that he was not the only aggressor. In an interview, he pointed out that many people believe that domestic violence is a one-sided affair and that being a man is laughed at when a woman beats a man. He also said that if both partners used violence, then both would have made a mistake.
